Upon completing this unit, students will demonstrate understanding of the following:
- Science is the act of intellectually and systematically studying the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world using observation and experimentation.
- Scientists approach finding the answers to questions about the world in a specific way called the Scientific Method.
- The Scientific Method is a procedure that is characterized by systematic observation, measurement, and experimentation, as well as the formulation and testing of hypotheses in order to develop theories.
